Faith Restored?

It snowed again last night in Portland... maybe 2-3 inches even. But then in the middle of the night, it warmed up and everything was gone in time for the kids to go back to school this morning--after a very long three week break. Yay! My faith in the Portland weather is nearly restored.

Unfortunately, our power went out this time from approx. 9:45pm to 4:30am. That was not so great. The worst part is the power goes out when everything is in full swing, and then it comes back on in the middle of the night, TV's come on, lights come on, things start beeping.... and there goes a peaceful night's rest.

Just got your great holiday newsletter and beautiful card. Lily looks SO ADORABLE!

I'm so glad one of my friends actually has a blog. I've been blogging about retirement at: http://retiredsyd.typepad.com for about a year now and most of my friends don't even know what a blog IS let alone have one of their own. So they don't get it, but I'm sure you do! Addicting, huh?

Can't wait to explore all your past posts and keep up with new ones.

Thanks Sydney. I know the blogs are addicting. My siblings got me started. I have gone to your retirement blog and it is great. I need more time to really get in and read the whole thing. I will have to start at the beginning. I love the fact that you have a whole group of young retirees sharing ideas. What a great thing to blog about. I wish I was retired...

Hey Squirrel wanted me to pass along some comments to you retirees and wanabees. I am out in the cold collecting nuts for my little squirrels and building my squirrel pad for my family and I just dont want to hear anything about retiring. Do you think we squirrels can retire let alone get a schwabe account. Hell when was the last time a squirrel could walk into a bank and deposit his nuts. Well I guess the fact that we can get fat and sleep for several months is pretty good....

Dear Agent, I am already fat, but sleeping for months sounds good too.
