On Friday March 20th, Joey and I left the West Coast and headed to New York. The purpose of the trip was to take a look at a number of East Coast Colleges to help Joey decide where he will apply next year. We started with a weekend visit to one of my favorite cities.
We arrived in New York City by way of La Guardia airport (so much better than JFK). We circled the entire island of Manhattan taking in the sights of the Statue of Liberty, the old World's Fair Grounds, the tennis courts at Flushing Meadows....
We enjoyed dinner at the Famous Carnegie Deli.
One Corned Beef Sandwich and a bowl of Matzah Ball Soup was more than enough for the two of us.

There are lots of fun sights to see on the streets of New York at night
We stayed in the heart of Times Square at the W Hotel. Not our first choice, however, with the current financial times, Times Square Hotels are pretty cheap these days.
